Software Engineer (New Grad)

The Role

The Dover engineering team is small but incredibly effective. We value productivity over face-time, action over inaction, and focus over feature creep.

As one of our first few engineers, you'll have a massive level of ownership over our engineering culture, end-to-end ownership over the systems that you build, and influence on product direction.

At the core of what we're building is a simple question—"is person X a good fit for job Y"—but doing this well is challenging, requiring a combination of large-scale data scraping, aggregation and processing. We pride ourselves in automating things nobody thought possible.

The Responsibilities

• You will work on a team that designs and builds software reaching millions of daily users.
• You will partner with Product Managers, Designers, and Analysts to deeply understand the needs of our customers and build a product that serves those needs.
  
• You will develop and execute against both short and long-term roadmaps, making effective tradeoffs between business impact, user experience, and a high-quality technical foundation
  
• You will improve the team and company – you will be an active participant in our culture (mentorship, interviewing, and new initiatives)
  
• You will support your fellow engineers through feedback, code reviews, and advancement of internal tools and processes
  

About You

• 1+ years of professional experience in software development
  
• BS or MS in computer science, engineering, or other technical degrees
  
• Excited by more ownership and the opportunity to have a meaningful impact
  
• Experience working with product management and road mapping from time to time and drive the work
  
• You have experience with backend and enjoy working on frontend, web development, design
  
• You've worked in an industry relevant to SaaS or Recruiting
